What made me create this blog

So, I finally decided to start a blog. It's something I've been putting off for way too long. In this article, I want to share what actually pushed me to do it and what I'm hoping to get out of this.

Why I'm Doing This

There are a bunch of reasons. Let me break them down for you:

Knowledge Sharing

First, I really want to share what I know with the community. We're living in this wild moment in tech right now—AI is changing everything, forcing us to rethink what we know and what we should know. And I think that's exactly when we need good conversations about what actually works and what doesn't. A blog feels like the right place to start those conversations.

Learning Through Teaching

I learn best by teaching. When you have to explain something to someone else, you quickly find the gaps in your own understanding. It forces you to think deeper and actually master the material. Plus, I genuinely love doing this—I've taught friends informally, and getting positive feedback on how I explain things? That's one of my favorite parts about being a developer.

Building a Portfolio

I'm (still) building a career in tech. A blog is such a powerful way to show what I can do—not just the technical skills, but also that I can actually explain things clearly. Clear communication is becoming rarer in our industry, which means it's worth highlighting.

Creating a Reference

I've built so many solutions over the years—snippets, patterns, ideas that have saved me hours of work. And I always end up forgetting! A blog is my way of creating a personal library that I can actually refer back to when I need it. Plus, if it helps someone else avoid the same struggles, that's even better.

Documenting Progress

I'm working on something bigger too. I want to build products that actually matter, and I've set this goal for myself: launch at least one real product by the end of the year. It's ambitious, maybe a bit scary, but I want to actually call myself an entrepreneur, not just say it. This blog will be my accountability partner through that whole journey.

There's More: Finance & Investing

Now, I love code and tech, but here's something you might not expect—I'm passionate about finance and investing too. I want to help people understand money better and work toward financial freedom. So yeah, you'll probably see me diving into investments, stocks, and personal finance pretty regularly here.

My Investment Journey

I'm pretty new to investing, and it's been a blast. I'll be sharing my progress, the wins (and definitely the losses), and whatever interesting opportunities I'm tracking in stocks, bonds, and other areas. Think of it as me documenting my learning out loud.

How I Actually Built This (The Tech Part)

Building this blog was a learning experience, but maybe not in the way you'd think. The tech stack itself is standard—Next.js, Tailwind, all the usual stuff. What actually fascinated me was getting really good at using AI tools, specifically Claude Code. I've been diving deep into it, experimenting with Skills and Agents. It's a game-changer. I built this entire website in a fraction of the time I normally would spend, which meant I could focus on what actually matters to me: writing and sharing.

What's Next

This is just the start. I have so many things I want to write about—ideas I'm excited to share, things I'm learning, products I'm building. The goal is simple: grow together. I want to create content that helps you learn, challenges you to think differently, and maybe even inspires you to build something cool. Let's do this!

I'm genuinely excited to share this journey with you, and I'd love to hear what you're interested in. Come explore the posts, jump into the comments, and tell me what you want to see written about. I read everything.

Let's grow together!
